Missing front teeth, dentures, and gaps in teeth related to flute playing

How is embouchure and flute playing affected if one or more of the
front teeth are missing? What if someone had flared teeth with gaps
between the front teeth? And how does wearing dentures affect flute
playing ability?

Dental issues affect the flute embouchure much less than other woodwind
instruments such as the sax. Since the flute embouchre is formed by the
muscles of the face and especially the lips, the issue of teeth affects
flute playing only insofar as it affects the ability of the lips to form and
direct the air stream. My guess is that missing front teeth and gaps between
the teeth would not be a major obstace to playing flute. Dentures might
necessitate relearning how to form the embouchure since they might change
the relationship between the flute and the mouth somewhat, but again
wearing dentures should not be an impediment to flute playing.

I wear dentures and play the flute. I do sometimes use the denture grip
paste if we play at a concert. I don't seem to have a problem with playing
and dentures.
